Kvelb Theatre
Kvelb Theatre is predominantly a street and alternative theatre. It six permanent members and other actors who perform with the group are actually actors from other theatres. The theatre tours throughout Europe with its performances - mostly street plays or large open-air performances such as Nautrilus Zum.
"You could say we are a non-subsidized theatre; we actually live on what we earn by performing. We travel in our van, don’t have our own permanent stage, we only have rehearsal rooms, stores and studios. The plays are de facto thought up and created by the Kvelb team. It is mainly performances by the authors. We actually do it ourselves; our own production and direction."
Kvelb Theatre took part in Wolkruv Prostejov 2009 to make this poetry festival more visible, to introduce Wolkruv Prostejov to all the people of Prostejov through the Nautrilus Zoom Tricycle. Every morning and afternoon the Kvelb members rode the tricycle and gave the Nautrilus Zum performance. More on the Kvelb Theatre in a report from the cine4net production.
